    • It appears that Gracieux Migneré (modern spelling Mignerey) of Etobon had three daughters named Jeanne, named after three separate godmothers (usually aunts, uncles or cousins represented by aunts or uncles) by the name of Jeanne.

      Children in Montbeliard are baptized with the name of their godparent of the same gender, either a close relative or a VIP (occasionally both), which sometimes results in the naming of more than one surviving child with the same forename, since families chose their childrens' godparents for their close relationship to the family, not because they liked their name.

      There has been some attempt to identify Gracieux' ancestry in Etobon.
