      Cape Breton Post, Nov 27, 1939
      Mrs. John J. McNeil. Glace Bay, Nov 26-Death of Mrs. John J. McNeil well known resident of Brookside Street, occurred at St. Joseph's hospital this morning where she had been a patient for the last two months undergoing treatment for an internal ailment. The late Mrs. McNeil was 57 years of age and had resided all her life in Glace Bay. She had been in poor health for the last year or so and about three months ago entered St. Joseph's hospital for a period of treatment. She was well and favorably known in Glace Bay and district, and for many years maintained an active interest in social activities of St. Anne's parish. She is survived by her husband, John J. McNeil and her father, Thomas Casey. Three sisters also survive, Mrs. Ryan, Mrs. Scholfield and Mrs. Dalton. Funeral will be held from her residence, Brookside Street Tuesday morning to St. Anne's church where requiem mass will be celebrated. Interment, under the direction of Curry's Funeral Homes, will be made in St. Anne's Cemetery.
