- Hector immigrated with his wife to Cape Breton in August 1821 with sons Archibald, Jonathan, John, and Donald and settled near Christmas Island. They were following their children Mary and Murdoch who had sailed in 1817.
Hector's issue:
Archibald McKenzie married Catherine McKinnon and settled at Birch Point in Washabuckt.
Murdoch McKenzie res. at Glen, was married to Louisa McNeil of Rulios Aug 31, 1813 and after emigrating lived at Washabuckt.
Mary McKenzie res. of Glen married John McNeil of Rulios (brother of Louisa?) Nov 16, 1813, subsequently emigrating to Washabuckt, but was deceased before 1821.
Jonathan McKenzie res. of Glen was married to Marion "Sarah" McLean of Borve (= Borgh?) Aug 21, 1813 and after emigrating lived at Washabuckt.
Donald McKenzie married Christine McNeil, daughter of Roderick, and emigrated to Christmas Island.
John McKenzie married Mary Gillis of Kyles (= Caolas on Vatersay?) Nov 3, 1818 and emigrated to Christmas Island.
