  • Notes
    • There are two Frederic Rigoulots who appear in Lunenburg records, one presumably Jean Frederic Rigoulot, son of Vernier, and the other of unknown origin. Following land records should clear up the confusion between the two men.

Frederick Rigoulot # 1 -occupation butcher
Marriage 28 Mar 1769-Frederick Rigouleaux and Margaret Elizabeth Arenburg (Roll II)

Margaretha Arenburg is the daughter of Frederick, the family came over on the Ann, 1750

Children of Frederic & Margaret Elizabeth Rigoulot
Charlotte. born/bap. Feb 25?/28 1770. Died at 8 days old at Lunenburg. buried March 6 1770. St. John's church.
Mary Catherine "Catherine". Aug 8/16 Aug 1772 (St. John) married to Thos "Engels," St. John, 7/26/1792 with issue (aka Inglis?)
      Ann Mary "Mary" Mar 8 1774/March 14 1774 (zion)
Mary was married to Ptk Burke, St. John, 10/10/1793

Everything else after decease of wife to daughter Mary Catherine English, wife of Thomas English. Wife Margareth Elizabeth is to be executrix. Will dated 24 April 1804; Frederick Rigulo makes his mark. witnesses George Boehner, Caspar Ernst?, Adolph Newman. Proved 12 November 1816 in Lunenburg; widow Margaret Elizabeth Rigulo was executrix.

Frederick Rigoulot # 2 occupation miller
Marriage 22 Oct 1771 Frederick Rigulo & Marie Louisa Silber
children of Frederic & Maria Rigoulot

      Anna Catherine 1772 (Zion)
      Nicholas 1775 (Zion)
Mary Elizabeth 1777 (Zion) married to John Matthew "Matthew" Naas abt 1808 with issue, a daughter Mary Louisa born 1808, baptized Zion. Mary Louisa died single in 1870. Possibly also a son, Matthew?
      Catherine Louisa 1784 (Zion)
      Frederick 1789 (Zion) (burial Nov 7 1790 age 1 yr 6 mo)

One of the Frederic Rigulots died on 19 Jun 1810; probably the one married to Louisa Silber because
Maria Louisa ["Lucy"] Barbara Silber was remarried after her husband's death to Nicholas Conrad at St. John's church on March 3, 1812

      Poll Tax Roll
RG 1 vol. 444 (NSARM microfilm no. 13580)
      Rigulo, Fred North West Range Lunenburg Lunenburg 1792 £ 0 1 0 049
      Rigulo, Frederick Lunenburg Town Lunenburg Lunenburg 1792 £ 0 5 0 049

Both Frederic Rigoulots were members of Zion Lutheran Church in Lunenburg.
Friedrich Rigulo "Mueller" (miller) gave a very small donation towards building the church (1770-71); signed Membership roll 1775; and appears in church account book 1777-85 (Source- Bell)

Friedrich Regilo "Metzger" (butcher) made money & other donations towards building the church (1770-71)(Source- Bell)

Winthrop Bell- apprenticeship records suggests that the miller Frederick was Vernier's son-and the fact that baptism sponsors for Elisabeth & Suzanne Rigoulot's grandchildren included Nicholas Rigulo and Lucy (Silber) Rigulo tends to support that conclusion.
