- The burial record of Ursule Beuchot (this is the way her name appears to be spelt in the record) says she died at age about "quatre-vingt ans" =80 years. Unless this age is a few years off, this creates a slight birthage problem with her presumed son Guillaume (provided that Guillaume is her son), as his burial record (1712) says that he was about seventy years old when he died, making mom a little too old at his alleged time of birth (mom is over 50 years old) Possibly both burial records are off, making Ursule a little older and Guillaume a little younger than their true ages. Or Ursule was Guillaume's stepmother.
In this spelling, the name "Beuchot" does not appear to be a local surname. Although, there is a family of the name "Boichot" from Echenans sur Mont Verdois, a village near Luze and Chagey. According to Charles Mathiot, the name Boichot may derive from dialect for "big nose".
