    • Claire Collins Leslie, age 91, formerly of Cedar Woods, Branford, passed away November 1st, 2013 at Mary Wade Home in New Haven, CT. Mrs. Leslie was born in Bridgeport to the late Joseph and Clara Collins, and lived most of her life in Trumbull, CT, where she raised her family. She was a retired clerk for the United States Postal Service, working for many years in Newtown, CT. Claire enjoyed social occasions, throwing parties, traveling, and any time spent with her family and extended circle of friends. She was an enthusiastic bowler, participating in area bowling leagues and also an active member of the Tashua Women's Golf League. She was pre-deceased by her husband John Edward Leslie, son John Edward Leslie Jr., son-in-law, Mark Glazer, sisters Catherine Nelson, Agnes Bartram, Hilda Miller, Natalie Fredette, and Marlene Sweitzer, and brothers Wallace Collins and John Collins. Survivors include five children, Kathleen Gardner and her husband Buzz of Guilford, CT, Elena Smith and her husband Kevin of Branford, CT, Sheila Glazer of Stratford, CT, Jennifer Geiger and her husband Mark of Arrowsic, ME, Jim Leslie and his wife Debbie of Stratford, CT, and her twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family is grateful to the staff of the Mary Wade Home, who cared for her so well in her final days. Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull, CT. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11/5, at 10:00 a.m. directly at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 5995 Main St., Trumbull, with Reverend Emil Witschy officiating, followed by interment in Long Hill Cemetery.
