    • "he came [to Judique] in 1775, leaving his wife and two children in Prince Edward Island. He remained several months near Indian Point with not a soul in the region except himself and the redmen...The following year Michael MacDonald returned to Prince Edward Island and brought over his wife and family....They settled on the farm afterwards owned and held by Christopher MacDonnell. Some years they stayed in Judique, but finally all returned for good to Prince Edward Island." HOIC p. 190
