      Petition to Kempt: Petitioner, a native of this province, age 37, is married and has five children. He purchased 150 acres, largely swamp. He asks on the eastern branch of the third fork of the brook that empties into the Head of Spanish Harbour, and about five miles above the bridge. Note: grant approved.

      Death certificate filed with province of Nova Scotia in Cape Breton County in 1867 (David Boutilier, bk 1803, p. 24, no. 243) provides David's birth place as "La Have NS" (Lunenburg) James Bollin was the informant.
