      "The recital by advanced pupils of Carl F. Tollefsen and Mme. Schnabel-Tollefsen last night was extremely attractive, and the playing of Miss Edna Rothwell, an artist pupil, justly aroused much enthusiasm....[her] playing was so light and brilliant that it evoked a wave of enthusiasm....She played Chopin's "Etude in A Flat" and Liszt's "Rigoletto Fantasie" with remarkable life and feeling."

      "Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Edna Rothwell of 602 Academy Street, Astoria, Queens, daughter of Mrs. Joseph Alfred Rothwell and the late Mr. Rothwell, to Franklin Ford of Jackson Heights, son of Mrs. Henry Jones Ford of Washington and the late Dr. Ford. The ceremony took place on Tuesday in the Community Church, Jackson Heights, and was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Leland P. Cary.
      The bride is a well-known piano soloist and accompanist and for the last three years has played through the National Broadcasting Company radio chain. Her husband is President and Manager of radio station WHAP. He graduated from Princeton in 1913 and is a member of the Princeton Club of New York. the Princeton Charter Club, the 1913 Class Council and the Hessian Hills Golf Club. His father, the late Henry Jones Ford, held the chair of Government and and Politics for fifteen years at Princeton. Early in the first Wilson Administration Dr. Ford went to the Philippines on a mission for the President. He was President of the American Catholic Historical Society, a member of the Interstate Commerce Commission and at various times editor of several newspapers, as well as the author of many historical and biographical works."

Mrs. Edna Rothwell Ford, wife of Franklin Ford, president of the Defenders of Truth Society, operators of a radio chain devoted to anti-Catholic propaganda, died yesterday at her home at 9 West Ninety-Sixth Street. She was well known as a piano soloist and accompanist before her marriage in 1929. She worked from 1926 to 1929 for the National Broadcasting Company. "
