    • Bizarre (but real) birth certificate: Elmer R. Anderson; born 663 58th Street, Brooklyn, to James G Anderson, age 38, mechanic, Norway, and Mary Ljungquist, born Brooklyn, age 25, two previous children born, two currently living.
      The address is right-on for John & Jenny, the boy's name is right; and mama's surname; examples of sloppiness in this certificate: in the place for mother's current name is James G Anderson; the maiden name, Mary Ljungquist. Why were so many errors ( no James G. Anderson appears in Brooklyn directories in this time period) made? The Doctor submitting this certificate could have mixed up data from another birth the same day, or perhaps the Anderson's accents were too thick for him?
