John Hoy and Mary Ross had four sons in the USA: Robert (born in South Easton, PA), William, James, and John. James Hoy died in Tecumseh, Lenawee 18 August 1873.
William Hoy moved to Detroit to be near his cousins' family and was father of "Bouge Hoys" according to notes written by his cousin Margaret Hoy Tate, in possession of the author.
"Bouge" = a typo for River Rouge, Michigan.
