[Note-from the Assessment Rolls for Kaladar & Anglesea, some of which are extracted in this notes page, it appears that the primary residence of the Craigens was the property at Range A, Lot 9, Anglesea, on the Addington road, that Dennis Craigen bought from Leonard Gillette]

1871, 22 February- a meeting was held to form a committee in order to decide where to build a Catholic church for the residents of Kaladar, Anglesea, Elzivir and Barrie. John Guina and Dennis Craigen were elected from Anglesea Twp., and John Kennelly from Barrie Twp. John Guina was a chairman of the committee. John Guina, Dennis Craigen, and John Kennelly were among those who offered to donate five acres of land on which to build the church (the land chosen was that of Moses Lessard Sr.)

1892 Farmer's and Business Directory- Dennis Craigen is listed at Cloyne PO Barrie Township, Frontenac County Concession 4, Lot 5. next to his brother in law Daniel Hunt, Con 6 lot 6. I think this land is actually in Anglesea Twp., whose borders with Barrie Twp seem none too certain at this time (actually the county border was the road). Not to mention the question of whether Barrie Twp was Lennox & Addington County or Frontenac County. Even today, the west half of Cloyne is in Anglesea Twp., and east half in Barrie Twp.
