- According to HOIC, p. 586-587, Margaret MacInnes' husband was the son of Duncan MacEachern and Jessie McDonald of Moidart. Duncan MacEachern settled on Lot 49 in Creignish.
John MacEachern, Duncan's son, had a farm at Long Point. "Their son, Robert MacEachern, was the first ecclesiastical student sent to Rome from Cape Breton. He was sent by Bishop MacEachern in 1828, and died before his course was finished"
Margaret McEachern, farmer, 91, widow, born P.E. Island, died 15 January 1868 at Long Point. Angus McEachern made the return. [this age is likely to be inflated by a number of years, since her family was not in PEI 91 years previous]
