Rita passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anne (Casey) Campbell. Rita graduated from Normal College in Truro, with her teaching degree and over the years enjoyed upgrading her licence and the friendships made at that time. Those friends she had to this day. She taught school at St. Anne's in her early years of teaching, but enjoyed the majority of her teaching years in New Waterford and was constantly approached by former students who loved her then and never forgot her. She valued each and every student and remembered many little stories whenever she spoke of one. Rita was a past member of the Retired Teachers Association in both Glace Bay and New Waterford. She was also a past member of the Lingan Golf Club. Rita was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, friend and neighbour. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she was always identified as 'that beautiful woman.' That beauty was also in her soul and spirit, warmth to any and everyone. She and Manning travelled to Florida in the winters for 20 years and enjoyed some of the closest friendships and most fun of their lives. Rita will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 49 years, Manning McIntyre; chosen daughter, Sharon Butte; brother, Daniel (Theresa) Campbell, Ft.Lauderdale, Fla.; niece, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her brothers, Robert 'Bobby' Campbell in infancy, Adrian (Genny), Campbell, Long Island,N.Y. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport. Fr. Jim Oliver officiating, Fr. Clifford Bisson will be con-celebrating. Burial in St. Anne's Cemetery. | Campbell, Daniel (I1354)

Mr. Peach was sixty seven years of age and son of the late Thomas Peach of Big Lorraine. He formerly resided at Lorraine but moved to Louisburg about forty years ago where he has since resided. The deceased followed fishing as his principal occupation and was very successful. He was one of those hard working honest industrious fishermen of whom we have many about our shores. He married Miss Ann Townsend of Louisburg, who with three sons and fours daughters survive him. About 18 months ago he was attacked with disease of the bone of one of his legs. He had the limb amputated but the poison had gone into his system, and he gradually began to fail. Everything that medical skill and kind and loving friends could do, was of no avail and after much suffering he passed away Wednesday morning. The deceased was a part owner with Captain Philip Wilcox of the schooner May E. McDougall and later of the schooner W. S. Waynott. The remains will be intered in the new C.
